Desk Organiser....

A second chance to do this workshop.
Lots of people couldn't do the last class to make the desk organiser so Pink Tulip are arranging another class, which will be held on a Saturday. It may be the 22nd of June if that is suitable for the people on the waiting list. So if you are interested give PTC a call for more details

The full Picture....

Well here it is, hope it was worth waiting for. It's a Graphic45  12 x 12 Matchbox. I saw a version of this and just had to do it my way. It takes layers of gesso, texture paste, lettering, metal embellies, flowers, lace and die cuts followed by spraying inks and Treasure Gold gilding wax to get to this stage.
I know I still have to complete the inside, this will be made as a scrapbook style page. If you have never seen a matchbox the inside pulls out and you decorated it as you wish and the frame is done separately. They come in various sizes.  The doorplate has had texture paste on through a stencil and a doorknob added. and the memories word has been sprayed with inks. The matchbox, doorplate and key (which is on the side panel) wooden memories word are all available at Pink Tulip Creations
The clock is die cut from copper metal sheet and gesso is applied to it and all the flowers, embellies etc. The doorplate has had texture paste on through a stencil and a doorknob added.
I have already been asked if I would do this project as a class so we will have to see.
So there you have it. I don't know how I am going to do the inside just yet, I keep changing my mind about how I want it to look, and yes I will put it on here as soon as it's completed. I hope you think it was worth waiting for because it is one of the most favourite things I have made.

Apologies....

To anyone who visited here earlier and saw the " random number generator" on here.
I have spent the last FOUR hours,  with Sheila, trying to fathom out how this thing gets on a blog and when we finally get it right, we think, guess what?? Anyone could have clicked on it and generated a number!!
So as you can imagine I'm a bit stressed at this moment in time and think Sheila is about to throw my computer at me.
We have found all the right instructions but it doesn't help when your computer is on a mega go slow and you keep losing Internet connection.
Well, back to square one and back to the lap top. I will get there just give me Valium and a bit more time

Prize Give Away.....

When I reach fifteen followers .
I am thrilled to reach ten followers, so have decided that if I can reach fifteen I will do one of those random.org generated prize draws for those fifteen followers.
Each follower will be given a number and then I will use the random number generator to pick out a winner. Crickey that means I have to learn how to put that on the blog ooh err!!!
Do you fancy being a follower with a chance of winning a prize? Not that I'm resorting to bribery by the way it's just that if you are a lurker on the blog you might enjoy being a fully fledged follower instead.
So here goes peeps, wonder how long it will take?????? Better start looking for a prize then.

On my blog YAY!!!
I am highly honoured that you are following my blog and hope I can keep you interested in my crafty ventures. Your comments are muchly  appreciated 'cause it's nice to know I'm not rambling on to myself sometimes.
I can see from the stats page that there are lots of you out there looking at the blog and again I thank you.
Now all I need to do is keep learning more computery type things so I can make it an even better blog, but you may have to bear with me on that one, it may take a while unless I can find a nine year old to do it for me :-)

Graphic 45.......

Secret Garden Folder. For sooooo long now people have been asking me to do a class based on my Ladies Diary folder, made with Graphic 45 of course,  and my Tim Holtz version, so I have made a version with the Secret Garden papers. It's very pretty and we are taking names now in order to book a class. It will be priced at £40 with a £20 deposit to secure a place. It will probably be in July but we are still working on a date.
If you think you might be interested contact Pink Tulip for more details. It's on show in the shop if you want a look at it.

Pink Tulip Creations.....

Mannequin workshop. I had a lovely time yesterday teaching at PTC. Our lovely ladies were making a mannequin. I used a stamping onto tissue technique along with some painting and adding torn book pages. Most ladies did the same colour way as mine but a couple of them changed and did their own colour but the same design. It was a lovely relaxed class which I enjoyed teaching.
Well done ladies!! Your work was beautiful and I do hope you enjoyed your class.

More Sewing....

Related Cards. I did say how fond I am of designing cards with a sewing theme so I have another three to show you that I made a while ago.
I have used a birdcage to make the bustle on this dress form and finished off at the waist with ribbon roses. I've painted a panel of canvas and stamped onto it then edged it with lace and braids and layered it onto a punched panel. Some more stamping with the Kaisercraft scissor stamp and the stamps used are a Katy Fox range from Toodle and Binks.

this card as A4 size and features a Tim Holtz Sizzix  dress form die, a Spellbinders Die for the background shape and the scissor stamp is Kaisercraft.

I have used a Spellbinders die again for this card, a dress form again, a Marianne Butterfly Die, the birdcage stamp is Kaisercraft. This card is 8 x 8" size.

Do You Remember....

The desk organiser I featured on here, (Sunday 31st March) well sooooo many people have asked me about teaching a class on how to make it so it's now happening. I will be teaching the class at Pink Tulip Creations on Thursday 23rd May and places are going fast. If you are interested in this class contact the shop ASAP to book your place..

How Simple....

Thought you might like a little look at this simple card. It is a card sent to a friend recently and I just had to take a piccy of it to show you.
I was amazed to see the use of coloured pencil sharpenings  to make the flowers and along with a bit of hand writing and a hand drawn bow it looks brilliant. I do have to add that this was a bought card and not a bespoke hand made one (like what we clever peeps do). So next time you need a quick card in a hurry girls, get your sharpeners out!!!

Blog Friendly....

Hopefully I have now made it easier for you all to follow me on this blog. I know many of you don't have google accounts etc... So I have clicked a couple of buttons that enable you to be a follower without an account. So try it out and let me know if it works for you and once again thank you for coming on here and having a look at my work.

Scrap Pages....

Helloooo, I'm back!!
Sorry for my absence these past few days, busy, busy busy. Didn't mean to neglect you all.
Here's a look at the scrapbooking pages I will be teaching tonight, using the gorgeous 75cents Kaisercraft papers (I always want to call it 50 cents after that rapper person, get me knowing about rappers!! ). You can't go wrong with a few sheets of Kaiser, so fab to work with. I have made a little booklet to fit into a little pocket. Have been making a few little booklet type pages lately, note to self must move on to something else now.
