Prima Engraver Project....
I've been beavering away in my craft room again, usually around 7.30am when I should really be getting ready to go to Pink Tulip, or even doing a bit of housework, but no it's a bit of crafting I do!!
So anyway, I have made another "this one's for me" project using the new Prima papers called Engraver ( I just lurrrrve these papers)
I have had a wooden desk tidy hanging around the craft room since I moved in to my home and have never had the urge to actually do anything with it but that all changed when I brought the Engraver pad home and had a Eureka ! moment. I immediately new I wanted to use these papers on it.
I took the finished article into Pink Tulip yesterday and had some lovely comments about it so I will take some piccies of it and get them on here ASAP for you to have a peak at.
I hope those of you who are taking part in my blog challenge are having fun with you projects and hope to see some of them on here very soon.

French Country Project.....
Well here it is, my French Country project. This is what I did with the cockrel paper, lots of fussy cutting. I painted the back of a deep 8" square canvas with fired brick disstress stain, to use it as a shadow box. Then trimmed a sheet of paper to fit in the recess. It's quite difficult to fit the paper into the box without creasing or tearing the paper but it can be done. I used a selection of Pink Paisley stamps around the edges, stamped with black stazon ink.
I cut out panels from the papers to overlay on the inside, raising some with 3d pads. Working with a knife I cut out the bits in between the cockrel and the sunflowers etc.. Use red line tape to stick the paper to the canvas then embellish by cutting out more sunflowers to mount over the ones on the panel and add metal bits and pieces from your stash.
When i sat down with this pad this morning I had no idea what I was going to produce, but there next to me on my desk was the square canvas that I had earmarked for another project.
Hope you like it and it gives you some inspiration for your own projects.

French Country....
I've succumbed....
After oohing and aaahing since the trade show I have today bought the 8 x 8 pad. Not quite sure what I am going to do with it as yet (the cockrel needs some thinking about) but I just know something fab will emerge from those scrummy pages. Couldn't resist those sunflowers.
Both French Country and Secret Garden are now back in stock at Pink Tulip.

To all you lovely people who are taking the time to visit my blog. I hope to have more projects on here, very soon, for you to browse at and hopefully get some inspiration from.
This blogging thing is very new to me and as a technophobe I am learning new computery type things about how to do this.
Anyway, a special thank you to those who are following me (doesn't that sound weird)

Doorplate Number Three.....
The final doorplate challenge...
For the last doorplate I have used one of the new masks on sale at PTC. This one is called Pink Flower.
I have sprayed the doorplate with inks, a pink, a yellow and a blue, over the mask then removed the mask. Whilst the mask was still covered in inks I turned it over onto another piece of mountboard and pressed it down to make a new coloured flower design. By spraying over the mask onto the doorplate it left me with a blank flower design so a put some mustard seed Distress Ink onto an acrylic block and painted some colour onto the flower. I then sprayed the whole thing with a sparkly gold perfect pearl spray in sunflower. Then I dried the plate. Next I went around the flower outline with a black fineliner pen. I next coated the flower with Rock Candy Distress Stickles and sprinkled a few Beadazzles on.Then I stamped the plate with some Kaiser stamps and edged the plate with a silver Krylon Pen, sprayed the key to match and joined them together with a chain. Finally I added a flat backed pearl.
I hope you like this one. As usual it will be available to see in Pink Tulip

Happy Mothers' Day....
To you all.
Here's a card I've made for my mom. I've used papers from the Mariposa pad from DCWV. This pad has been in my treasure trove for ages (well actually a very long time) but I just can't bear to use it. So I thought I would be brave and let my mom have a card made with it/
I don't think the photography does it justice as you can't see the raised panel very well and all the glittery gold sparkle, but I like it and hope she does too.
Have a lovely day, all you mommies xx

Ink Pad Holder...
Another new product from Pink Tulip Creations..... Tah Dah....
This fabby new product comes in two forms, one that houses your Distress Inks and one that houses your Adirondack Inks, but they are the same size so can be stacked on top of each other. They come flat packed and cost £14.95 each and hold 40 ink pads. This one has been covered with papers from the Base Coat range from Kaisercraft, also available at PTC.
Can you really manage without them ???? I don't think so.

Doorplate Number 2.....
Firstly many apologies for the spelling mistake yesterday, but I think you must have realised I meant PaperArtsy.
Okay, so for the second doorplate I have kept it simple.
I coloured the plate with PanPastels in Magenta and Magenta Tint.
I have coloured the key the same way. Next I stamped the plate with IndigoBlu stamps. I used the Crafters Companion Spray and Shine spray to cover both the key and plate. Spray several layers to get a good shine. Before the key is dry tip on some glamour dust glitter to give it some sparkle. Glue the key to the top of the plate and add three miniature roses.
There you go, an easy way to decorate these fab doorplates. Both on veiw at Pink Tulip
I wonder what I'll do with number three??????

They're Here.....
The PeperArtsy stamps have arrived Wooo Hooo!!!
Along with the Treasure Gold. I hope to have some samples done very soon. If you have not seen or used Treasure Gold it's like the old gilders wax but in a beautiful array of colours. I have already bought the Indigo and the White Fire, which is a pale gold tint. You can rub them onto your projects with your finger or use them with a brush. Anyway they are fab.
The new releases from IndigoBlu are now in too.
I will put the second of my doorplate challenges on here tomorrow.

Tutorial...
Well here's another first for me. I am now going to attempt to give you my first blog tutorial (double scary).
Over at Pink Tulip we sell some fab doorplates with keys, three designs are available. Sheila challenged me Tracy and Angela to design with them so I have decided to show you all what I have done with my first attempt. They only cost £1.50 each !!!!
So here goes, hope you like it and can understand my instructions (let me know if you can't).
Ink your doorplate with Distress Inks in Dried Marigold then Wild Honey and finish with Vintage Photo.
Spray the inked doorplate with a shimmer spray, I used a Perfect Pearl Spray in Sunflower Sparkle, then dry with a heat gun. Use up any left over spray on your craft mat as it adds to the design.
When dry stamp with the Tim Holtz Stuff To Say stamp set from Stampers Anonymous. I used black archival and Versafine in sepia to ink with.
Draw round the edges of the plate with a gold Krylon Pen.
Add Versamark Ink randomly around edges of the plate and cover with Frantage Powders inAged Gold and Shabby White and add Mica Flakes in Tarnished Mica.
Go around the edges with the black and sepia ink and blend together with your finger then heat set.
Embellish with a die cut flower. I used a Heartfelt Creations Die on card covered with metal tape and die cut then coloured with alcohol inks.
I added lace to the left side.
Swipe a Vintage Photo ink pad over the key, it gives it a really good look, then touch over with black ink.
Stamp over the key with the same stamps. I have coloured and stamped both sides.
Edge with gold Krylon Pen then brush with Versamark Ink and add a little Frantage.
Punch a hole in the top of the doorplate and tie the plate and key together either with ribbon or chain, as i have.
Add three hat pins to the flower.

What Fun......
I had a lovely day, yesterday, demonstrating with PanPastels for Pink Tulip Creations. I would like to thank all the lovely people who came to visit and watch me waffle on about how fab these pastels are. But they really are and if you haven't had a go you really should.
I think everyone enjoyed doing the make and take session and Tracy did a really good job of showing how to do it.
I am having a well earned day off today but I really should be sitting in my craft room making sample cards for IndigoBlu and cards for my classes. Oh well! Perhaps I'll have a go later.
