Julie Nutting Prima Doll Stamps.......

I do enjoy using the Prima Doll stamps by Julie Nutting and I needed to make a party girl type card and I've also done a soft pastel coloured one.
What's so lovely about them is the fact you can make them so different every time. You've seen some other I've done in the past.
So the first one up is the Fabulous Party Girl one...

Next is the soft pastel coloured design.

I've matched her spotty dress with the larger spotty paper from the same collection so that the colours all tie in together.  I think the pastel colours suit the style of the doll.

I'm looking forward to this weekend because my friend, the lovely Hels Sheridan, is doing two workshops at the Crafty Bunch Craft shop in Telford, owned by another great friend Sue jones.
I do think both days may be sold out by now. I'm not sure yet if I'm going to do the class with them or just  be the assistant in the tiara, feather boa and sequins. I'm sure I'll find out in due course.
But before the fun of next weekend I'm going back up north to Kendal to do another IndigoBlu card making workshop at The Paper Warehouse in Kendal. I do believe that class is full too but you can always ring them to check if you were interested.
I am always made so welcome there it's such a pleasure to go there.

A Few Cards.....

Here's a few card designs I've made recently. Again I've gone mad and used decoupage but these are from The House Of  Zandra and  I've just got a liking for them.
Don't you just love this shoe?? I've added I little sparkle with some stickles just to add a highlight. I've also used some Woodware Linen card so it has some texture.
A girl can never have too many Shoes!!!

Samples of Mirabelle.....

Here again, well it's demo day at The Range in Cheltenham today and I'll be there for Trimcraft to play with all the fabulous products in the Santoro  Mirabelle Collection. I've made some samples to display and I thought I'd share them with you.
Now you lovelies will now that I'm not a decoupage sort of girl at all, but this collection is so adorable and it has a twist on your regular sort of decoupage, because the images are sooooo cool.
Have a nosey and see what you think/ I'd be really interested to hear you comments.
If your around Cheltenham today please call by and say hi.

As you can see the papers are just as stunning as the images. The colours are very muted and have a vintage feel to them and they have some glittered and some glazed.

IndigoBlu Challenge Time......

Going For Gold this month and there has been some fabulous entries. This is my DT inspiration.......

I have edged a panel of card with Chariots of Fire Mega Flakes then attached it to a card. I've gilded a large Flourish Altered Ego and brushed off the excess from the nooks and crannies. Then I stamped the saying from the new Boadicea stamp set with FlitterGlu and again gilded it with Chariots of Fire.
A finishing touch with liquid pearls and it was complete.
Here is where to go to see all the DT designs and the fabulous entries.

Why not have a go yourself, we would love to see your designs.

I'm off the Cheltenham on Saturday. I'm demoing at The Range for Trimcraft using the fabulous Mirabelle Collection. If your around pop by and say hi, I would love you to visit.

Highlights From.....

The Trade Show.
Oh soooo much fun, meeting up with old friends was soooo good, but making brand new friends was even better.
One name in particular springs to mind, as she spent two fun filled days with me and my partner in crime Sue Jones, and that name just happens to be the wonderful Lorraine Brown Robertson.
Now Lorraine and I are on the Jones Craft DT together but we have never met before as she lives at the other end of the country in Scotland, but my word as soon as we did meet on Sunday we instantly became really good friends and I know we will be friends for ever now. So the terrible twosome became the triple terrors with the help of our wonderful Susan Jones.

So now we decide we need to put our talents to good use so we descend on poor Marion Emberson, another DT member, who just happens to be demoing for WOW embossing powders. The ten minute make and take took just under an hour!! Total meltdown. Such fun. Hilarious, are words that spring to mind. Well done Marion for battling through, such a great sport and another amazing friend.

And after all the messing around here's a great one with the lovely tags our Marion taught us

Now we cant leave out another partner in crime, non other than the lady herself Hels Sheridan.
Hels was demoing for Creative Expressions so I grabbed the opportunity to get her to make me  a personal work of art. When she had finished it I told her I was gonna put it on ebay and flog it to the highest bidder!!!
Not really, I wouldn't part with a work of art from our Hels

And finally I couldn't resist taking a pic of the most talented lady I've ever come across and that lady is known by the name of
Finnabair
Now unfortunately I've not been able to attend one of her workshops as yet, but I'm working on it.
Finn was demoing on the Stampbox stand and we were all mesmerised by her work

Demo Day.......

For Jones Craft at Inspirations, Preston.

I was lucky enough to be asked to be a Demonstrator at the lovely Inspirations Craft Shop, by Jones Craft, this week and to use the fabulous Kaisercraft paper ranges. In particular I used Lady Rose and Tea Break collections.
I had a great time and was made really welcome by all the staff and  Karen and Ann have asked me to return for another demo day on March 27th and also to do a workshop on 25th April. If anyone is interested in either of these events please call the shop for more details.
It has to be said, I was not feeling my best with my sniffley cold. I was giving my best Rudolph impression with my rosy red glowing nose, but hopefully it didn't stop the customers enjoying themselves. I know I did.
I'd like to give a mention to two lovely ladies, Christine and Jaqui, who spent some time with me. It was a pleasure to have them visit.

Back Home.....

From Preston and a fabulous time with the friendly staff and customers at Inspirations.
This is just a little update post as feeling just a little weary as I've got a lousy cold, but it didn't spoil a great weekend.
So now I think an early night is in order so I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed for the trade show tomorrow. It's going to be great to catch up with old friends and some new ones, including some from   today.
I will do another post ASAP with pics

Right off to dose myself up again

A Rare Thing.....

I'm putting myself on show today, how scary is that!!
I don't do photos very well. That's in both the taking of them and posing for them but I had this one and, for one rare occasion, I quite liked it.
So the lovely guys at Jones Craft sent me some amazing Kaisercraft stamps and away I went. You may notice that I haven't put any journaling on this layout yet. Well that's because this is going on display at the Craft Hobby and Stitch Trade Show, so I didn't want the world and his brother reading all my inner most personal ramblings. I'll put the scribblings on when it's safely back in my hands.
One of the stamps I've used on here is the stamp called 36 this is a real favourite of mine. How many times have you heard me say that, I wonder???

By the way, who's entering the IndigoBlu Challenge This month?
The winner is chosen on the 23rd of each month.
Why not have a go!

More IndigoBlu......

Here again, I seem to be on a roll now. All courtesy of my lovely new laptop {how lovely she is too}
Just wish I knew how to work the EXPLETIVE DELETED THING!!!!!

Anyway more IB for you today.......

This is another design that had a brief showing on Create and Craft and for this one I have used the fantastic IB clock stencil, the clock altered egos and the stamps.
Have you noticed the "Time Flies When Your Crafting" stamp?
How true is that.

This one was also shown, I do like this one.
The message on this is just great and I can think of loads of times I shall be using it.

Right! we'll have a change tomorrow and we will have a bit of Kaisercraft I think.
Hope you can come back and visit.

A Preview.........

Of a new IndigoBlu stamp that will be launched at the Craft Hobby And Stitch Trade Show this weekend. This is another of Kay Halliwell-Suttons stunning designs and it's called Miss Austen.

I've also used the new Sheet Music stamp on this one. I've stamped it onto tissue paper and stuck it onto a deep shadow box frame then added some IndigoBlu Mega Flakes to gild it in some places. The stamped image is behind glass

A Beautiful Mind.....

Another new set of IndigoBlu stamps
This is another piece that was featured on Create and Craft on Saturday.
I had great fun designing this one. I used TH Distress paints and stains and got all inky and painty. If you spray the card with water first, before you add the paints it helps them to start to run and spread better. Then you dry it off to set the paints before you spray again and kind of repeat with the stains.
I had no preconceieved idea of where the colours would end up, I just went with it and then decided which way around the stamping would go.
It was great fun using these stamps and also include the Altered Ego Cogs.
Altered Egos are fantastic.  I'm not sure what they are made from but they aren't chipboard, they are a bit flexible and you can colour with most mediums.
Create and Crafts Leonie and our lovely Kay gave me fabulous comments about this piece so I hope you like it too.

IndigoBlu Designs.......

New stamps showcased on Create and Craft yesterday. Did you see the shows??
Now I can breathe and sleep again!!

It's the "I don't think they're good enough" syndrome again, that rears it's little head,  when I have designs to make, using the fabulous new stamps, sent to me by IB.
The designs Kay makes are incredible and are a pleasure to use but I have to admit to getting a bout of the eebie jeebies when the words "create and craft" are mentioned so I was one happy bunny when several of my designs were pulled out and commented on by both Kay and Leonie. So I thought I'd share those designs with you.
The new stamps are truly fabulous so I know you will enjoy using them, how can you resist!!
Tomorrow I'll show you A Beautiful Mind

Giveaway Time.......

Finally!!!!
I've just got around to sorting out the giveaway prize to celebrate my 200th posting here on my little blog.
I've chosen three Kaisercraft stamps for the lucky winner, who will be drawn at random, from random.org, from my followers (so if you aren't a follower, now is the time to become one and who knows we may get up to SEVENTY).

It was lovely to see lots of old friendly faces, and some new friendly faces, today at the MCM, Paper Craft Fair Craft show. Annette Lingwood that includes you too, and your paper cutter blade will be winging it's way to you very shortly.

So, time is fast running out for me to finish off my samples for IndigoBlu, no pressure there then!! I've still got several designs that I've prepared but just cannot get the finishing off bit right. Think I'd better step away from the craft room for tonight and have a fresh pair of eyes on the job in the morning when I'll also be finishing off another scrap layout for Jones Craft using some of the Marion Smith Designs Mad Tea Party Collection. This has to be finished for Monday, again no pressure.
Then I can start getting down to the business of making the samples for the   Trimcraft demos using the fabulous Santoro Range.

I think I might have to move my bed into the craft room tomorrow!!
