An Un Christmas...

Christmas card.
Here's the christmas cards i've done that could easily be used as greetings card by just changing the elements on each of them. Change the poinsettias on this one to flowers and add a happy birthday.

This one has been created using Spellbinder Grand Labels 23 and Lacey Ovals dies and Memory Box Blooming Poinsettia and again by removing the poinsettia and adding any other flower  you can change it around quite easily. Hope they may give you some inspiration.

IndigoBlu Day...

Had a lovely day at IndigoBlu headquarters, with Tracy, on Sunday. It was their first retailer day at there new premises. We went on behalf of Pink Tulip Creations and picked up some lovely new tips and techniques using their products and will hopefully be passing those on to our PTC customers.
The first to know these techniques will be the people who have booked into the Pan Pastel Workshop class.
Tracy and I used the fab by Ice Resin to make a lovely pendant, can't show it to you yet because it had to stay at HQ to dry but they are sending them on to us.
A big thank you goes to Kay, Alfie and the team for there hospitality and the copious amounts of cake they fed us with (no of which helped at my weigh in last night). I seem to have no willpower when presented with cake at craft events, I'm sure someone once told me there is no calories in chocolate and cake when you're crafting but my scales tell me differently!!

It's Christmas crafting time at my class this evening so I will put on the pics of the cards on tomorrow's post.
Off to spend the day with two of my grandchildren today, hope you have a good day too

Oh Happy Bunny Moment....

Ever had one of those moments when something happens that just makes your day that extra bit special?? Well I had one of those moments yesterday.
Here's the story...
I have had such an amazing response to my creepy cottage that I decided I would actually like to post a picture of it onto the Graphic45 site. I posted three pics onto their Facebook page and I joined their Ning site to add photos on there too. Well, my first moment happened when I looked on the Ning to find that my little creepy cottage was number one on the leader board of their top photos. I hasten to add that it has been going up and down the board ever since, but for that short space of time I WAS NUMBER ONE.
So to my "I'm a happy bunny moment" On checking my mail I find I have not one but THREE comments from Graphic45 themselves on the Facebook pics. Oh My!!!! Now it might not sound much to most people, but I have never sent pics to anywhere else before so this was an amazing moment to me. I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you but the guys at Candybox Crafts and myself have worked hard on this cottage and to have these comments, and the wonderful comments from you all, means soooo much.

Update...

Good morning followers, bloggers and friends.

A huge big welcome to my new followers and yet another thank you to all of you who take the time to keep visiting me.
As I mentioned before, when I get to 50 followers there will be a little blog candy (as the world of bloggers call it) for you to win. Well I have reached 43, which I still find amazing and have decided to reduce the magic number to 45. I just can't wait to give away a little prize!!!

So all you bloggers who visit here, but haven't become a follower, why not start now. Add your name to the others then I will number you all and use that random number generator thing again to pick out a winner (yes I know I had major problems with it last time but am older and a bit wiser now).

Now off to pick a prize. Oooooh what shall I pick this time, I wonder?????

Graphic45 Steampunk Spells Creepy Cottage....

Ok bloggers here it is at last, my take on a Candybox Crafts Cottage.......

Do you like the staged setting, courtesy of Sheila  and Angela, very Harry Potter don't you think??

I can't tell you how much fun I've had making this. I bought the Steampunk Spells 12 x 12 paper pad with no idea what I was going to make with it but I new it was going to be for a project.
When the guys at Candybox Crafts showed me what their latest product was I couldn't wait to have one and I new it was going to be used with the Steampunk papers.
I don't think I will ever forget the look on Roy's face when I finally revealed my creepy cottage to him.
I think he was lost for words on seeing one of his pretty cottages turned into something weird and wonderful. Steve had prior warning from Roy and his reaction was slightly different, he loves the halloween look. So, what do you think?? I would love to hear what your reaction is.
You can't see it very clearly but on the first picture I have added a broomstick, that I have made myself, and I am soo proud of it. I toddled off to my garden shed and gave my own broom a little haircut, coloured a length of dowelling, black added some red tape around it and then added the broom bits. I then coated the  tops in glue and wrapped some twine around to secure it all. I glued it in place next to the doorway.

Thinking of You...

I may have mentioned this before but I do love a bit of kraft card. Along with some black and white card, you can't go wrong!
Here's a card I've made using the masking technique, another favourite of mine. I do seem to have a lot of favourites don't I!!
I've used a large flower from a PaperArtsy stamp set along with a set of Hero Arts days of the week stamps.
You need to stamp the flower three times onto the kraft card then stamp a mask of the flower,  to place over the top, while you stamp the weekdays. Added glitter on the flowers gives a lift to the card.

My Tuesday night ladies had a go at this one but the classroom was soooo hot we were all melting by the end of the night, even with two fans on the go!

Clean and Simple....

Hi again, I am an avid fan of clean and simple cards. Sometimes it's all you need, an elegant understated card.
Here is one that I taught  this week and I love it's simplicity.
I've used the Hummingbird stamp set from Kaisercraft but unfortunately the have discontinued it from their range. Highlights have been added by using a Quickie Glue Pen and Glamour Dust Glitter on the birds and the foliage. A little stamped message or greeting just finishes it off nicely along with a bow.

Creepy Cottage....

Here we go with sneaky peek number one...

Bats and newts, toads and crows, black cats and owls I've got them all!!
I'm off to make a broomstick now, no not for me personally ( I can hear you all from here).
Be back soon

"Something Wicked.....

This Way Comes"
Ooooh I've got rather excited this week. The guys at Candy Box Crafts gave me one of their latest products to have a play with.  I couldn't put it down once I'd started. They have designed three pretty cottages, based on the houses at Martha's Vineyard in America, but my cottage is no longer a pretty little house. Oh no! I just couldn't help myself. I've gone over to the dark side (sounds worse than it is) and I'll put a sneaky peek on here later. Finishing touches stage at the moment so crucial elements are being sourced.
I absolutely LOVE these cottages because they are actually configured shadow boxes inside. The guys have designed these with their usual attention to detail, and I'm sure they will be a great success.
The cottages will be on sale at PinkTulip creations if you want more details or to purchase them.

So stand by peeps! More will be revealed later........

40 Followers.....

Oh my, I am so very proud to have reached forty followers. Thank you Jacky H for becoming my number 40.
I will be giving away a little blog prize when, and if (and that's a big IF) I can reach the magic number of fifty, as a special thank you. So keep following,  all you lovely people,  and you will be in with a chance of winning yourself a prize.

I do hope some of you may have seen my vintage shadow box, Floribunda, in this month's Craft Stamper magazine. If you have let me know what you think of it. I would love to hear from you
Much love

Heartfelt Creations Card...

Happy Friday Bloggers!
Here's the card as promised. I just love these paper pads, they are so elegantly beautiful. This is an 8 x 8 inch card and I have cut out the broken fence, from a second sheet of the paper,  and raised it over the one on the base paper. A die cut leafy flourish adds to the vine on the paper too.
Next I inked a doily, cut it in half and added it to the back of one of the cut out panels.
Then a added one of the sentiments to some matching card stock and raised it over the panel.
A few punched flowers with added pearls to decorate.
The hardest part of working with these papers is choosing which one to buy!!

Let me know if you like it as I do love reading your comments

I'm Back...

Hello again bloggers, well I've had a fab time on my holiday and am getting back into my crafting mojo.
I would like to say a big thank you to the ladies at Bentley WI for making me so welcome on Tuesday evening. It was a pleasure to demonstrate for them and a lady there, called Vivienne, makes the most amazing shortbread, which was accompanied with strawberries and cream and a refreshing non alcoholic glass of Pimms. How could I refuse!

The lovely guys at Candybox Crafts have a new item in their ever expanding range, it's a house that opens to reveal a configured interior. There are three cottages in the range and I have one of them to work with, thank you Roy and Steve.  I am just itching to start on it but keep changing my mind on what theme to go with so watch this space for updates on how it's progressing.
These cottages will be available to buy from Pink Tulip Creations so if you are interested or want more information just call Sheila.

PTC have now got the Heartfelt Creations Paper Pads in stock so of course I just had to bring one home with me. I will blog a card made with the papers tomorrow so I hope you can come back and visit again to let me know what you think of it. I do love reading all your comments and will hopefully reply to them all.

Wedding White...

A wedding day card for you today. I've used an 8 x 8 square card for this one and as you can see I have used Martha Stewart punch around the page loopy punch set, Couture Creations Tied Together embossing folder, Memory Box La Rue Heart die and Arched Window die and white roses ribbon from Pink Tulip Creations. The stamps are from a Kaisercraft  set.
I have swiped a Versmark Ink Pad around the edges and heat embossed with silver powder and also embossed the wording stamps the same.

Hope you like this one, it's a little more contemporary from the usual wedding cards.
